AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, TRAIN COASTER RIDE

EFTELING

PINOKKIO (PINOCCHIO), ATTRACTION

One of my biggest projects included the research, design and development of various ornaments and characters for the attraction Pinokkio in the Fairy Tale Forest, officially opened in 2016. I worked closely with the sculptors, decorators and costume designers in order to achieve the final look of the attraction.

CARNAVAL FESTIVAL, ATTRACTION UPDATE

Due to the implementation of the new brand Jokie, the dark ride Carnaval Festival needed an update, we decided in 2012 to introduce to the public Jokie and Jet as main hosts of the attraction.

SPROOKJESBOOM (FAIRY TALE TREE), ATTRACTION

I had the honour of joining the project of The Fairy Tale Tree in the Fairy Tale Forest in 2009. My task was to design all organic ornaments of the tree (branches, roots...) as well as his expressions and of course the animal sidekicks.

ARTIST'S IMPRESSIONS

The goal behind the following artist's impressions was to preserve the typical Anton Pieck's style in order to revitalise the gift shop Dromerijen and the restaurant Het Witte Paard. We chose a theme based on Volk van Laaf for the restaurant,

because it's located near Lavenlaar. The other visuals were designed for Efteling's various brands: Sprookjesboom, TiTaTovenaar and finally a suggestion for a concept store in Amsterdam.

ILLUSTRATED SIGNS

I drew a few signs during my time at the Efteling: from Carnaval Festival, Fata Morgana, Loonsche Land, the gift shop In den Ouden Marskamer, the Holle Bolle Gijs family's staff restaurant wall decoration focuses on waste separation. Lastly, a set of illustrations for the park's baby changing rooms in Jokie style.

COSTUME DESIGN & PUPPETS

I developed a few brand-inspired costumes for the actors who interpret famous characters for the theme park entertainment.

I also worked closely with several professionals during the making of puppets for the shows.

PODIUM

For the brand Jokie I designed a stage podium for the actors to perform on. It can be used also as photo opportunity from the Efteling's guests.
